A (belated) Happy New Year. Progress is slow but steady with 1976 the latest year to be pretty much put to bed. With the most recent years, the skill is knowing what to leave out as there’s simply too much information to include without making the data unusable.

1971 done and dusted. As I progress through the years towards the present I’m perhaps doubling the content of each as well as reformatting and expanding. As a by-product there are minor updates to past years being added all the time. There’s also a major proof-reading job to be done.

So forty years more to be done. At the current rate of progress of just over a year a week, I’m six months from completion. Still, I’m getting there.

Slow but sure progress is being made and I’ve finished up to and including 1964. With still nearly fifty years to do, and progress slower than I’d anticipated, I think that my estimate of a 2011 completion is looking a little awry. I can but plug away. Spring 2012 looks more realistic now.

House move completed, broadband connected and everything up to and including 1956 is now done. That leaves 55 years to do in four months. Should be do-able

As it stands, everything prior to 1945 is now complete bar proof-reading. The next month is probably not going to see a great deal done as I’m moving house. But I’m still confident of closing the year with the whole thing up to date and finished, or as near to it as these things ever can be.

As it stands, everything prior to 1925 is now complete bar proof-reading. The last three quarters of the 20th century and this century are in various stages of completion but there’s a lot to add, edit and generally tidy up. Progress is slow but sure.

You may have noticed that I’ve changed the template and that I’m in the process of updating the colour scheme too. There have also been a lot of updates to pages pre-1880. This is ongoing. The plan is still to have the site up to date by the end of the year

Well I was just tootling through the twentieth century, but decided to go back again. So in the last month there have been major updates to everything pre-1780. I think the pages look better and that things are easier to pick out. The aim is still to be done and dusted by the end of the year with some kinda official launch. Maybe

Plugging away. I’ve just finished the updates to 1946, so I’ve just got 65 years to sort out now.

Slow progress, but progress all the same. Everything prior to 1940 is now complete bar the odd correction. Everything post-1940 has quite a bit of editing and addition to do. Generally speaking, the closer to the present, the more there is to do. But I still think I can get everything done before year end with little difficulty.
